Nominate an Employee

The Balloon Award is a means of recognizing the outstanding efforts of OHSU employees in science education outreach. Any person (OHSU employee or non-employee) can nominate any OHSU employee (staff, student, faculty) who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in providing science education for/with the K - higher education community.

Nominations must include a completed OHSU Science Education Activity Tracking Sheet (go to http://seo.ohsu.edu/ click on Activity Tracker) filled out by the nominee, describing the specific science education activities or efforts for which they were nominated. Nominators must provide examples (at least 2) of how the nominee has gone above and beyond the call of duty and describe what is significant about these efforts (click here).

The Balloon Award program will be publicized in the following ways: Balloon Award posters with program information will be posted throughout OHSU. A Balloon Award Fact Sheet will be provided for New Employee Orientation and for Incoming Student Orientation. An all accounts email will announce the program as well. Beginning with the September/October issue, the OHSU Outlook will provide information about all OHSU award opportunities.

Nominations are submitted to and collected by the Office of Science Education Opportunities (SEO). Quarterly, a list of all nominees will be compiled and posted on the SEO website and will be published in a broadcast email.

OHSU employees may receive only one Balloon Award.
